Default Positive with 4-3 switch

I am glad we are switching to the 4-3. This is our roots as a defense and I feel like that may mean something.

But the 4-3 will allow Lee and Carter to run to the ball. They will have less traffic to shed to make plays. I think this will make the defense better. Lee being covered up will be insane. His instincts with a free reign will fun to watch.

Spencer is not worth keeping at 8-10 million a year. I think Crawford has a chance to be a trent Cole type player and Rat and Hatch inside will be effective.

I'm all for the move back to the 4-3... You can stop the run much better.

I know the new (old?) DC is a 4-3 guy, but has anyone from the Cowboys actually said the team is switching to the 4-3?

I like the switch also...

Some say that the Cowboys don't have the right players. I think they got the players that can do the 4-3. Just move a few players around and utilize them for the skills they have.

A good draft is going to help.

It wouldn't make a lot of sense to hire a guy who specializes in 4-3 defenses to make him run the 3-4, would it?

That and Kiffin even said that Ware would be a good 4-3 DE.

Holding my breath on contract talks. Hopefully we can get something done.

I know Jerry is a complete moron... but even I don't think he'd hire a Circle to do a Square's job.

I also think the switch will help. We can't forget that Ware has a very *very* serious injury/surgery, that he is going to try and recover from. IMHO Chronic Neck/Shoulder/Elbow issues are indicative of wear and tear. I'm not too optimistic that he'll make it all the way back really fast, and pick up like nothing every happened.

In a 3-4 we have no replacement for his pass rush... period. In a 4-3, I think our LB's, DL, and company can mask his recovery, much better than they did in a 3-4.
