Both are the only Oakland head coaches that have over 5 wins in the last 10 years. Well Tom Cable had 1 as well but my point is if these guys had some success with that mess in Oakland they can't be all bad can they can?

Good thing the team got rid of a Ray Sherman because of his and Garrett's differences and then hired a guy who's mind was already on the beach somewhere.

Agree. Romo seemed confident throwing to him, and Harris really impressed me with pr ability. Looking forward to him continuing to improve.

That's a little unfair. Contemplating retirement now doesn't mean his head wasn't into it two years ago. It could just be a case that he no longer feels he has the energy to be fully invested for another year. Maybe family is calling him. Maybe it's a combination of things and this is just the right time to do it.

It's not like he's had bad results in the two years he's been here to make you think he didn't have the desire anymore.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

Default I'm bummed too...

I liked J.R. as well....but help me with something guys: didn't he get a concussion or some sort of head injury last summer or preseason? I think he did and if so, he's no spring chicken either. Plus, he probly wasn't overly impressed with the chinese fire drill of an organization either. We should all be so fortunate to walk away VERY well off like him.

I said this in my OP a week or so ago from listening to Fish. Nobody believed he would retire. Fish has pretty good inside info.
