How do you know? It seems no one who shares your opinion can provide any proof she lip-synced. She was asked if she lip-synced and denied it and the music director who worked with her on the National Anthem also denied she lip-synced. Her rendition of the National Anthem at the 91 SB was one of her greatest performances because it was sung live and she nailed it. That performance would have never received the attention it did had she lip-synced. Are you going to tell me the band that was performing was also faking it that night?

BTW, if it hasn't been suggested already, the lady, if indeed she didn't vocalize live, might well have been concerned foremost with protecting her brand. Many a SNAFU can rear its ugly head in these thrown-together events, and I reckon she wanted to play it safe. IOW there's a fear perhaps that her adoring fans might not be so enthusiastic had things gone awry. Safe to say that Image/perceptions do greatly matter in that business.

Besides, Ifn I didn't know better, I'd say this was a publicity stunt to ensure the folks are talking and tweeting about her. Crazier things have happened...

If you were referring to Beyonce she did lip-sync the fact the band was faking playing their instruments confirms it. I got caught up talking about Whitney Houston's performance at the 91 SB and thought you were referring to her.
