Default Post-Senior Bowl Mock

49ers, after winning the SB calls us for our 18. pick (because they have 13). They want Cordarrelle Patterson. 1/18 for 32. and 64. overall.

Round
1.(32.) Barret Jones (OG/C) Alabama

2.(47.) DJ. Fluker (OG/OT) Alabama

2. Datone Jones (DE) UCLA

3. Tony Jefferson (FS) Oklahoma

4. Marquise Goodwin (WR) Texas

5. Kenjon Barner (RB) Oregon

6. Jared Smith (DT) New Hampsire

Wouldn't mind this draft at all except replace Fluker with another OT or best DT available. He's going to play G at the next level and I'd rather have the best OT available with our 2nd rounder, or a good DT like Sylvester Williams if he is there. Also, if the Niners wanted this trade, I'd make them throw in a 6th or 7th rounder too. They have 13 picks! They can spare one more, especially in the later rounds.

And risk trading away the next Tom Brady or Marques Colston? Yeah right.

Good effort.

Trading down would be great if both Cooper and Warmack are gone.

As someone mentioned, you might ask for an additional late round pick (5th). The trade chart may or may not be what NFL teams use, but it is great for mock drafts, IMO.

Barrett Jones: Should be available in the 2nd round based on limited upside. Now he has a foot injury (Lisfranc) that could be problematic. I expect him to be available at the Cowboys 2nd round pick. His best attribute was his readiness to play in the NFL not his upside. If the injury projects to limiting him in Training Camp, then he could slide even more.

Fluker: I see that you listed him as a OG/OT which is good. I think he is a Guard only due to slow feet. He might be worth a mid-2nd as an OG; however, I don't see him as a fit in Callahan's Zone Blocking Scheme.

Datone Jones: I would guess that he gets drafted before Fluker.

The remaining picks look good and realistic.
