Personally, I think the fact that they only locked him in for 1 movie speaks volumes and says they want each director to do 1 and only 1. But I admit I'm just speculating, I don't pretend I know something which just ain't true.

People can like what they want to like.

And if you hate the Star Trek reboot films so much, don't watch them.

The same for those that hated the Star Wars prequels with such passion.

Keep what you have, watch and enjoy them.

Nobody is making you watch anything else.

I loved JJ's Star Trek reboot and can't wait for the new one. I hope he knocks the star wars one out of the park. I just hope it feels like Star Wars and not a modern sci fi movie.
