Few things:
DT- Definitely an area of concern for NY. Linval Joseph is solid, but beyond that it's Marvin Austin (bust), Rocky Bernard (who knows), and Markus Kuhn (7th rounder coming off ACL surgery, but coaches like). I can see DT being a priority pick in the draft.
WR- The more this offseason goes on, and with the more news leaked (Nicks being the priority), I wouldn't be surprised to see the Giants let Cruz go...But, since he's restricted I wouldn't be surprised to see them not match an offer with a team that has a high pick (that's WR starved) with money to spend (looking at Buffalo-#8, Miami #9). This is all compounded with the fact that JPP/Nicks are both going to need big money deals.
CB- I can't see Webster being outright cut (though I may be wrong). Prince had a solid season, but I don't think the Giants would trust him as their 1A CB, especially after the underwhelming year that 3rd rounder Jayron Hoseley had. Yes, he is due a lot of money, but a restructure might be in order.
S- With how the cuts have come, I can't see Kenny Phillips being back in the fold. Especially with how Stevie Brown came on. With Antrell Rolle, and the positive play of undrafted rookie Will Hill, they still have their 3 safety rotation in order, even if it is young.
The next cut I can see coming would be David Diehl on the OL. Leaving draft priorities this year as any offensive line spot, DT, and CB.
Just my .02.

They weren't done......
Boley was cut first then Bradshaw and now Canty. I have a feeling more are coming or some major restructuring of contracts.

Real organizations cut players early, rather than late. They don't want a Miles Austin or Jay Ratliff.

When is the last time we had someone rush for 1000 yards?
We are keeping a band together that has won ONE playoff game. They are cutting YOUNG PRODUCTIVE players that have won a Super Bowl. And we wonder why we are terrible!

Free yes.
Ratliff's contract is guaranteed for next year. I'd rather try and trade him for a late round pick. Maybe Wade or Sean Payton would like him back.

Would you take a chance on him?
Has his ship sailed?

everyday i hate the switch to a 4-3 more and more. part of it is hindsight and part of it is I feel it's a lot easier to get 3-4 DEs than 4-3 DTs and this year there looks to be several quality NTs in the draft.

Our last 1000 yard rusher was Julius Jones.
Yea, its been that long. I wonder who the idiot OC has been since?

3-4 DEs are basically 4-3 DTs. It is much easier to find these guys than a true nose.

I'd be ok with either for the right price as depth.

Props to the Giants.
They and others do not subscribe to the theory that a team has to wait until a player is blind and immobile (Brookings) or well past his prime (Ratliff and hatcher, James, etc.) to release them.
I admire teams who are in constant change.

Yes, these Giants releases *do* reflect badly on the Cowboys. Good catch.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee
