Obviously, the Raiders and Al Davis.

Bengals and Mike Brown.

While Ralph Wilson isn't the GM, anybody who knows the Bills knows that he's going to put his input in there and it has to be followed.

I've heard the same about Bud Adams and the Titans. Along with Woody Johnson and the Jets.

I know there were problems with Jerry Angelo when he was a GM in Chicago.

AJ Smith and Schottenheimer butted heads so badly that Schottenheimer got fired after going 14-2.

Believe it or not, the only thing I question recently is it appears Garrett will keep the playcalling. And that actually seems to be a JJ move since he's so big into not having a 'walk around coach.' I think the entire defensive moves are all Garrett and I think they have all made sense to me. Particularly after hearing Garrett talk about them in the PC.

There, fixed it for you.

I think fans have every right to be judgmental. If you've been a fan as long as some, the last 16 years of mediocrity with no hope for change, have been eye opening and brutal.

The only thing I'm to trying to convey is that this would be evidence of Jerry being a bad GM who should no longer hold that position. Now, that's not going to happen. But Jerry being a bad GM and the Cowboys being a circus, the organization being a joke, and other sentiments like that are different. It's possible that Jerry is a bad GM AND that the organization isn't the clown-show it's often portrayed to be here and in the sports media.
I think Jerry is a bad GM and I think the organization isn't the clown show it's often portrayed.

Here's three reasons I believe he's bad.

Overpaying of players.
Hanging onto players too long.
Not devoting all his time to the GM position which is impossible when you're the owner.

However, I think his Quincy Carter pick days are over and I believe he now listens to the scouts and coaches. I cannot see him ever again trumping everybody in the room and making a pick that wasn't on their board.

As far as coaches I also think he has distanced himself from assistant choices and relies on Stephen more and more so I just have a feeling things will get better -- God strike me dead.

EVeryone has a right to be judgmental. I don't think there is anyone that questions that. The point is whether or not it makes any difference or are you willing to do what it takes to make a difference.

Complaining here is not going to make much if any difference.

I agree with the original post. Jerry traded up to get the best cb in last year's draft. Everyone knew after we paid Carr in FA that we were not going to be able to sign Mike Jenkins so we needed a cb in either last years draft or this years draft.
Mayock-per twitter- has 1 cb listed as a first rounder in this years draft. Maybe Goose should consider that when he criticizes the trade up for Claiborne.
If Jerry the GM can keep his mind on what we really need in this draft we can make a big jump next season. O-line and D-line are deep in this draft. Safety is also deeper then it has been in recent years.
Good teams are built from the inside out. Jerry the GM needs to get at least 1 O-lineman in the first 2 rounds of this draft. I would not be opposed to getting 2 offensive lineman or 1 def lineman and 1 off lineman in the first 2 rounds but we have to hit the trenches in the first couple of rounds no matter what.
The circus around this team is generated by Dallas media trying to stir the pot for stories.

What is this about? We are fans none of us can do anything about the issues with this team. There is only one person who has the ability to make this team better and he refuses to do what is best for the team.

Also I was under the impression Internet forums were places where people with similar interests could express their opinions. Guess I was wrong.
