ESPN NFC East: Will the Cowboys draft a QB?
Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys would like to sign starting quarterback Tony Romo to a long-term contract extension. Romo's deal expires at the end of 2013, and the Cowboys know there won't be any quarterbacks on next offseason's market who are as good as Romo is. They also would benefit from reducing his 2013 salary-cap number (about $16.8 million), and an extension beyond this year would allow them to do that by spreading signing bonus money out over future seasons. Romo will be 33 in April, and the backup quarterback is Kyle Orton, who's not a long-term solution. So there is a chance the Cowboys could try to find a quarterback in the middle rounds of the draft and start grooming him.

Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

not in this draft...they need to get a guy eventually and I like the idea of bringing a QB in every year until someone sticks, but the QB class coming up is not likely to be a HOF class
..keep Tony happy and on his feet (i.e.: give him an OL)...

Maybe if we were sitting here with the 49ers' boatload of picks, but with just 6 I highly doubt it. Unless we move around and obtain more.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

We always say that but meanwhile the first ever Arkansas player drafted In the Jerry era was Felix. That's pretty unbelievable considering how many years Jerry has the team

Both of our QB's are north of 30, but I can only see us spending a third day pick on a developmental one. Romo is probably going to still start for 4-5 more years and Orton is a competent backup.

There's that notion that Jerry loves Razorbacks again. We've drafted what? One Arkansas player since Jerry owned the team?

I have seen Mike Glennon drop to the 3rd round...I wouldn't be opposed to taking him at that point TBH.

They would be stupid not to draft a QB at this stage in Romo's career. Time flies and before you know it he will be 37 with 1 playoff win so they better draft a QB

I will never understand why the RomoNutLovers on this board always ignore that his window is closing and he is running out of time
If i paid attention to the people on this board I would think Romo is 26

It because of his consistant accuracy and amazing arm strength, they figure he's good till he's 38 at least.
By the end of 2014 Romo will not be starting for the cowboys and the most popular phrase on the board will be..."see I knew we shouldn't have signed him to that big contract".

No you wouldn't. Because nobody on this board says anything remotely like that. If you paid attention to the people on this board, ironically, you'd know that.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee
