Default Dallas

Well, I watched the goodbye to JR episode. I didn't want to watch it, not interested in a no JR Dallas, figured it would suck and for most of the episode I thought it did suck but I have to admit, the way it ended I'll have to watch at least a couple more episodes. They sucked me in.

I admit I was certainly hoping the promised unexpected hookup was not going to be Sue Ellen and drunken brother Gary. At least it was John Ross and Emma.

I would have loved it if Bobby had thrown Barnes out the window at the wake, damn I hate Barnes.

Nice cameo by Jerry.

Surprised Cuban could make the cameo with Shark Tank obligations.

It looks like Ryland/or his mother had to have had JR killed. It makes sense with the talk that now Barnes will join forces with him to take down the Ewings. I don't think it works as well the other way. And I could see them taking down Ryland/mother through a season cliff hanger for ratings sake. If they ended up taking care of Barnes too soon they could lose their baddie. Although they could have Pamela go nuts afterwards and go both barrels on them.

I'm still figuring out how the producers think Judith Light could realistically be Ryland's mom. Mrs CCF walked in as I was watching a previous episode and said, that's his wife, I said no his mom. She said no way.

Of course, she could have been like Dez Bryant's mom and had him at what 14.

I posted it before, I think she's only 3 years older in real life. But they could claim he's younger on the show than his real age and she's older than her real age. JR and Cliff are both older than they played on the show. My mom is 70 and frankly Judith doesn't look any younger.

I thought the show was great. Nice way to say goodby to one of the greats on TV.

I know it was hard saying goodbye for Linda & Patrick. They were his best friends in real life.

Larry cannot be replaced. I have watched the old shows & he was flat out bad!

They did have it mentioned that JR was looking for her, so it looks like that is the plan.
