DMN-Werder:Tony Romo's people thought they were in position to get far more money
NFL analyst Ed Werder joined Fitzsimmons and Durrett on KESN-FM 103.3 to talk about the Cowboys. Here are some highlights.
On if the Cowboys will extend Tony Romo before March 12:
“I had always believed that would be the case, but the closer we get to the date and given the fact that so far this nothing but denials when you ask if the negotiations have even begun yet, I would have to say that seems unlikely. What that tells me based on the fact that the Cowboys are back over the cap again with the Anthony Spencer deal is that they will not be heavily involved in the first portion of free agency. Therefore, you can expect that they will be looking for guys that have been passed over by teams that do have money.”

QB Tony Romo has played 4 "Win or Go Home" games since 2008 (includes 2 playoff gms) -- in 3 of them, his QBR was less than 20"

That headline is completely misleading. It reads like Romo's people were expecting a bigger offer than they got. Which is not what is said. Werder reports they thought they would get more than Flacco before he went on his playoff/SB run.
The only other nugget for that headline is complete speculation .."As for why exactly this seems to be taking an eternity, we know the Cowboys are motivated to do the deal so we can only assume that Tony Romo wants more than what’s being offered to him currently."

Yea, that title is misleading and needs to be changed.
As the official head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Jason Garrett is 16-16............"Its a Process of stacking good days"
2013 Prediction: "NO PLAYOFFS"
