So much for signing with Green Bay. Great pickup for Atlanta. They're the preseason favorites for the NFC imo.

Good signing by Atlanta but I still think SF is the best team in NFC.

Agree but ATL just filled a HUGE hole offensively. Wow. Great pickup.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss

“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.

God help us...............

Without a doubt, a great pick up by Atlanta.

Just my opinion...

1. SF
2. Atlanta
3. Seattle

He wanted to go to Green Bay but the Packers, like usual, were unbearably cheap in their offer and he decided to go with Plan B, the Falcons.

Good, because I didn't want him here.

I would venture a guess that the top 10 RBs available in this year's draft would likely be better than Jackson at this stage in his career.

Of course it is.

Cowboy fans have fawned over Jackson ever since big bill passed on him.

Good personnel fit. I'm curious to see how much of that $12M is guaranteed. I'm surprised that these older backs can still command as much money as they're apparently getting on the market. I'd think that combination of age and soft tissue injuries would erode the bargaining position quite a bit, but apparently, for Atlanta, it didn't.

I'd like him a lot more as a significant role player at $2.5M/year.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

The guy is hurt a lot lately but they aren't getting him to be their all down RB. He will get the job done when he plays. Good pick up.

I think SF and Seattle are still ahead of Atlanta in the NFC. Considering Saints will be back to their usual form, I don't expect Atlanta to be #1 seed next year. And you know what will happen if Matty Ice plays in SF or Seattle for that matter
Yankees - NY Giants - Knicks - NY Rangers

I wonder how predictable the offense will be for the Falcons. Jackson is not known for pass protection, so when he is in there, a lot of defenses will play the run depending on down and distance.

I still think the Falcons o line is a weak link with McClure retiring.
