Lions Sign RB Reggie Bush & Titans Sign RB Shonn Greene
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
As @espn_nfcnblog is reporting and has been confirmed, Lions and Reggie Bush have reached agreement on 4-year deal.
Great pick up in my opinion. Adding another weapon to an already explosive offense. If they can get a solid #2 receiver, I think they could be the best offense in the league.

Titans reached agreement on a three-year, $10 million deal with former Jets RB Shonn Greene.
Solid signing, although I'm a bit surprised at $10 million. Tennessee is quietly having a great Free Agency.

Not sure, but I think Chris Johnson is due a big number this year.
Would they cut him?
That is alot to pay for a backup RB when you already have a guy who never has missed a game.

Bill Polian said the Lions, with Reggie Bush, will be the new "Greatest Show on Turf."
I'm sure some Rams fans aren't happy about that.

Good question. I seriously doubt they cut him though. I think they're just going to carry two highly paid RB's and maybe limit CJ's carries this year.

The Lions already have a couple of #2 type receivers. What they really need now that they hopefully have some consistency out of the running game, is some help on the offensive line. And of course quite a bit of help on defense although signing a safety that can stay healthy is a big help.

Bush is a nice addition to that offense. They're going to be very explosive.

Detroit's Backus retires after 12 seasons
ALLEN PARK, Mich. — Jeff Backus played 12 years for the Detroit Lions, missing only one game while enduring some of the franchise's most difficult days.
His perseverance was finally rewarded with a playoff appearance two seasons ago, and now the durable offensive lineman is comfortable calling it a career.
"It's time for me to hang up my cleats and retire," Backus said in a statement Thursday. "It's a bittersweet moment, but I'm content knowing I gave everything I had, played as hard as I could and tried my best to live up to the standards I believe in."

Chris Johnson's contract became guaranteed 5 days after the SB(technically 9 mill of his 10 mill base anyway)
He's not getting cut, although he should have been. Out of 276 carries last season he had 60 that went for 0 or less yards.
