What's sad is there's only a few names on that list that you would like to have on the team right now (maybe headed by Wilkins).

Exactly what I was thinking. There are a couple there that we can say, "Man why did we let him get away" but really not a lot of them on that list that I will lose any sleep over not being here. Some turned out better than we expected and others we just didn't have room for them becuase we had better players ahead of them. And most of them are either scrubs playing backup or guys that are not as good as those we replaced them with.

But it took Ross FOREVER to become a player. He was pushing 30 before he finally "got it". I think he was even out of football for a bit with stops in Philly before he found success in Pitt.

Am I the only one who really could care less about a player once he leaves Dallas? Not to say that this thread isn't interesting, it is, but I don't exactly watch other teams looking for ex-Cowboys and cheering for them.

[quote=silver]Here's a list of former Cowboys now playing elsewhere:

AFC
Anthony Wright QB Baltimore
Deion Sanders CB Baltimore
Ryan Lindell K Buffalo
Ryan Neufeld TE Buffalo
Tony Bua DB Cincinatti
Shaun Smith DT Cincinatti
Antonio Bryant WR Cleveland
Ebenezer Ekuban DE Denver
Michael Myers DT Denver
Patrick Chukwurah LB Denver
Jason Bell CB Houston
Keith O'Neill LB Indinapolis
Marcellous Wiley DE Jacksonville
Tony Richardson FB Kansas City
Darian Barnes FB Miami

I didnt realize the fins signed Barnes. So they got him to replace Jamar Martin, just like we had done. But they didnt give up a draft pick for him.

What do you guys think of Polite so far?

I really like Polite. He catches the ball pretty well, has scored a couple of TDs for us and can run the ball. He hasn't had too many chances to run the ball though, and probably shouldn't because of the tailbacks we have. I think his blocking is improving, but I would like to see him be a little bit more of a "road grader".
