...but not too much stronger - you don't want a pea salad laced living room floor.

Hate to rain on your parade but you have to figure that at least one starter won't start all 16 games.

There are a lot of unproven players that step up and fill in for starters every year for every team. Why not our guys?

Who knows, maybe Mitchell or Powell step in and prove themselves to be reliable for 3 or 4 games.

I think that JJ and BP have done a good job at not only creating more competition on this squad but considerably more depth.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a healthy season but inevitable someone is going to have to step up.

We'll have to get this figure out come January.

I'll work on it.

I refuse to imagine the defense without T-New.

It wouldn't be pleasant.

Well, if the defensive line comes arounds like Parcells expects and provides more of a pass rush, the team should be better prepared to live without Newman for a few games.

I don't want to find out.

Coleman Is Here, Too

Adding defensive end Marcellus Wiley to the defense was a move that highlighted the Cowboys' off-season, but Parcells thinks his defense might benefit from several other linemen as well.

"I would not count out Kenyon Coleman or Eric Ogbogu right now either in terms of being involved in that," Parcells said of the pass rush. "Kenyon Coleman, especially, has improved a lot this off-season."

Coleman worked hard in the off-season to improve his strength and overall conditioning, and is now among the strongest defensive linemen on the team.

"Or as the players call it, he's a strong dog," Parcells said.
Coleman was my darkhorse to flash some talent on the line this year back in February, it's nice to see he didn't drop the ball during the off-season.

It will be interesting to see what kind of pass rush Coleman brings and I fully expect him to emerge as the strongside run stuffing end in short yardage and goal line situations.
