Top 25 Pro Prospects for the 2006 NFL Draft

1. * Reggie Bush - RB – 6-0, 200; Southern California…… What a player with all the talent to be a great NFL playmaker.

2. Matt Leinart - QB – 6-5, 220; Southern California… Savvy accurate senior passer continues to refine his game for the national champions.

3. * Vince Young - QB – 6-5, 220; Texas… Huge mobile junior has been the key performer for the undefeated Longhorns.

4. D’Brickashaw Ferguson - OT – 6-6, 295; Virginia… Big agile left tackle has the package to be a premier pro, but he must prove durable at the next level.

5. Mathias Kiwanuka - DE – 6-8, 255; Boston College… Big athletic pass rusher was hindered by knee injury in ’05, but shows impact ability.

6. Jimmy Williams - CB – 6-2, 200; Virginia Tech… Athletically gifted defender has all the skills to develop into a shutdown pro corner.

7. * Ahmad Brooks - LB – 6-4, 245; Virginia… Fast athletic linebacker has special talent, but he must prove durable to justify this ranking.

8. * Mario Williams - DE – 6-7, 285; North Carolina State... Excellent edge pass rusher is a fine two way defender with a huge upside as an NFL performer.

9. A.J. Hawk - LB - 6-2, 235; Ohio State ... Savvy instinctive linebacker has the athleticism and instincts to be an early NFL starter.

10. Marcus McNeill - OT – 6-8, 310; Auburn… Huge senior left tackle has well developed skills to protect the passer’s blindside as a pro.

11. Rodrique Wright - DT – 6-5, 320; Texas… Explosive athletic tackle can be a force in the middle to become a top flight pro.

12. *Vernon Davis - TE – 6-3, 250; Maryland… Gifted athlete is just coming into his own as a stud prospect with the talent to be a top playmaker.

13 * LenDale White - RB – 6-1, 235; Southern California… Huge athletic junior runner gave the Trojans an unstoppable duo along with Reggie Bush.

14. * Haloti Ngata - DT – 6-5, 340; Oregon… Massive mobile tackle was a dominant force on the inside this fall and is ready for the NFL.

15. Michael Huff - S - 6-1, 210; Texas… Hard hitting safety has impact ability at either safety spot early in his career.

16. Chad Greenway - LB – 6-2, 245; Iowa… Tough instinctive defender is capable of being an impact performer in the NFL.

17. DeAngelo Williams - RB – 5-11, 215; Memphis… Well rounded runner has the complete package to be a rookie starting NFL feature back.

18. Eric Winston - OT – 6-7, 305; Miami… Big mobile left tackle made fast progress after a slow start this fall coming off a major knee injury.

20. DeMeco Ryans - LB – 6-1, 235; Alabama… Big play defender completed a huge senior season as the Tide’s leader on a nationally ranked unit.

22. Jesse Mahelona - DT – 6-1, 300; Wisconsin… Explosive athletic lineman has the talent to be a force as a three technique tackle.

23. Jonathan Scott - OT – 6-7, 305; Texas… Huge left tackle protected Vince Young’s blindside well and looks to compete with the top prospects.

24. * LaRon Landry - FS – 6-2, 190; LSU… Athletic junior safety has been one of the best defenders in the SEC over recent seasons.

25. Bobby Carpenter - LB – 6-3, 245; Ohio State...Powerful tough veteran defender had a great season that ended with a broken ankle.
