Default How much time will Henson get in the Preseason?

I am of the school of thought that this year henson won't start a game and won't get in unless its in mop-up duty towards the end of the season, what kind of time do you think he will see in preseason? equal time with the other backups? i'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks will/should happen.

Quincy will start 1, Vinny will start the other, Drew may get the nod in the 3rd but only if he is kicking butt until then. He will however get to play at least 1 full quarter in each.

I just hope he continues the pace he is on and shows us something substantial in the scrimmage and the preseason game.

well i think that the first two games he will get atleast a whole quarter or more. then the third game will be to get the starters alot of work. i would also think he might get a whole half in last preseason game agains the chiefs because it will be a quick turnaround from the third game. i would think that parcells will not want to play the starters much in that game so that might give henson more time to play.

Bill won't start the same guy in both of the first two preseason games, if it is a truly open competition.

I'd say it will break down like this:

Game 1. Carter 1st quarter, Vinny 2nd, Henson the second half.

Game 2. Vinny 1st quarter, Carter 2nd, Romo second half.

Game 3. Starter first quarter, back-up 2nd, Henson second half.

Game 4. Since it was so close to game 3, this one will be mostly Henson and Romo.

Parcells said in any eariler PC that he plans on treating the games like camp, he did not want to use 4 QBs in games.

It's important for Henson to play as much as possible in preseason, and if Romo does not show enough in camp, he may not play a lot in preseason. Which could help him clear waivers and be on the PS.

I think that for the first 2 preseason games, Carter and Vinny are going to get all the snaps up until the 4th quarter of each. Romo/Henson will split the remaining time in those two games, then I think Henson will get most of the 2nd half in the remaining two contests as it will become apparent that Romo will either be on the PS or waived.
