He's a good value in Round 2. He still scares the hell out of me.

Here's the report on him from Coyle:
Pros: Winston is a big, agile blocker who combines explosive quickness with a physical blocking style. He is best suited for the left side at the NFL level. He has a huge angular frame with long arms and quick footwork. He has the athletic ability to bend, slide and mirror well in pass protection with the balance and hand technique to counter quickly to inside moves. Initially, he uses his hands well to control an opponent and direct him outside, displaying the balance and strength to steer a defender outside the pocket. In pass protection, he uses good positioning with the patience to set up soundly. He has a strong punch and the ability to quickly reset. He can be an intense blocker who developed a nasty streak over his final season, showing the consistency to finish his blocks. He gets to the second level and blocks linebackers consistently. He has good football intelligence.
Cons: Winston missed most of the 2004 season with a knee injury that required surgery. He returned for his senior season and struggled for several games before getting back into his game.
Numbers: At the Combine he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.96 seconds with a 29” vertical jump, a 9’ broad jump but did perform the 225-pound bench press. He was outstanding in the agility and positional drills.
Skinny: Tough, agile tackle in the mold of John Tait and Jordan Gross. He will be an early selection and possible first-round pick. He has the ability to start as a rookie. The Bucs and Jaguars like him and have him on their short list for the late first round. He is a top-30 prospect at worst.

What about free safety? We only signed Coleman to a one year deal and Davis is more of a special teams guy. Do you think Ko Simpson could be available?

Get the best value of any available receiver, free safety, offensive tackle or nose tackle.

I really wouldn't mind Maurice Stovall, either.

Not sure about Winston ... good question. But as a revised statement that I have made on all the 1st round threads I will now declare no WR on the 1st day ... period.

At this point, you draft right off your board. Great start to the day.
The only curve ball is we all know JJ wants a 4th round pick.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
