That guy is a top 5 pick next year. Forget it.

Brandt's top WR prospects for 2007 NFL Draft

http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/9370926

Joel Filani Texas Tech 6-2 215

Jarrett Hicks Texas Tech 6-3 210

Jason Hill Washington State 6-1½ 205

Jeff Samardzija Notre Dame 6-4½ 215

Chansi Stuckey Clemson 6-0½ 185

Steve Smith USC 6-0½ 195

I wouldn't mind seeing either one of these guys in a Cowboys uniform.

Joel Filani is nothing more than a product of Tceh's gimmick offense

Hicks is very good, though

Watch out for MD OT Jared Gaither, he will be the next in a line of freaks coming from MD in years past. 6-9 330 OT ran a 4.75 coming out of high school at that weight. Gave up no sacks to any ACC defender as a true freshman last season.

If I had a quarter for every time I heard this......

Last year Filani stepped it up and really looked a little better than Hicks, IMO.( I watched or listened to every game) I was supprised myself to see anyone giving this " gimmick offense" some love, much less Gill Brandt. While I could understand this agument for a QB, I must disagree when you are talking about a reciever. You have to be able to run routes, catch the ball, and both of these guys do both pretty darn good and can get separation and take it to the house.

Get on this band wagon!

I know...hours after the 2006 draft, there are 99 top 5 players. That's why we're draftniks!

Who would Johnson or any first round WR replace? Of course if TO is an *** that's whom, but TG just got a new deal, Green and Crayton are here, then #5 is for ST (Copper, Merritt, whoever)

I think we make a splash next year in the draft. We're going to be pretty stacked and young on defense and old on offense. Depends on what JJ does this year but apparently he's not off limits to trade.
I would trade JJ and our first round pick and a few more for the right to draft Adrian Peterson.
I would give up quite a bit for Brady Quinn, if Henson doesn't show it.
If we feel good about JJ and Henson going into next offseason, I'd make a big splash for Calvin Johnson. Guy is going to be a stud, no doubt about it.
Still left to accomplish:
sign OT Winston or G Moore
