Watching Julius runs really reminds me of Emmitt. I SSSsoooooo wish that Emmitt was back in Dallas being JJ's mentor instead of Eddie George. Their similar styles would produce big dividends for Julius.
Other than Julius, K. Jones and Bell are the backs to watch out of this year's draft. I was never all that impressed with Jackson.

If Quinton Griffin keeps showing up in games for the Broncos then I dont think you see Bell for at least a year. Maybe more.

I want to see how Kevin Jones and Greg Jones do. They were my #1 and #2 picks

100% agree. You get millions to play and practice hard. Go ahead and do it.

Didn't Jackson do good in his 1st game? I was never really impressed with him in college though.
I would say that the Chiefs D under Cunningham looks much better.

Jackson's numbers were decent, but he didnt show any special qualities in either preseason game
the Chiefs D is still atrocious...the Giants made them look awful...they got a free ride last night because the Rams were missing like 3 starting OL's

Yeah the Rams line looked bad. Cunningham was being more abitious with blitzes and at least that pressure made them look better. I think he'll make their D better, but they still don't have the personel for a great D and I didn't think they drafted any real difference makers.
The Giants didn't really pass all over them, but they gave up lots of run yards. Just like last year.

I think the Cowboys did the right thing by trading down. Good running backs can always be found in the lower picks, and it is hard to guage which one is going to have the most success (unless they are an absolute stud like LT or RW).
Even with Buckhalter out, I am still glad that the Eagles chose Andrews over Jackson. IMO, Andrews will have more of an impact on our running game than Jackson would have.

I think Jackson will be a solid back, he may not light the world on fire but he will be proficient. I had reservations about the trade down but now think Julius Jones has a shot at being good plus that extra 1st for '05 looks great. What Jackson does over the length of his career and what Julius Jones does will be watched closely by Cowboys fans, but just as important will be the success of the player we get with the Bills '05 1st round pick.
