Jaguars sign veteran kicker Christie

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Ticker) - The Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday signed veteran kicker Steve Christie.
Terms were not disclosed.
Christie, who started his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 1990, spent the past three seasons with the San Diego Chargers. In 2003, the 14-year veteran connected on 15-of-20 field goal attempts and converted all 36 of his extra-point tries.

The most successful run of Christie's career came from 1992-2000 as a member of the Buffalo Bills, where he scored over 100 points in eight of nine seasons and played in two Super Bowls.
For his career, Christie, 36, has played in 213 games and made 314-of-403 field goals (77.9 percent) and 435-of-440 extra points. With 1,377 career points, Christie ranks 15th on the NFL's all-time scoring list.
