Excellent recap! Offense is always the slowest unit to come together. This is pretty normal for week 1 of camp.

No worries!!
When asked about his mobility-

so, the question starts to be asked.....

is our offense that disappointingly bad...

or is our defense that GOOD?

Or is it a little bit of both?

It seems every run in that blog was stuffed. Getting cohesive on pass blocking takes time but there's no excuse for all the negative plays on runs. If we can't run well this year we're going to struggle big time. And Jacksonville's DL is stout on the run.

It takes as much time to work together to block for the run as it does to pass block. And when the guy next to you is different every 4-5 plays it is really hard.

Yea, I guess they have their favorites. I do like to see he's throwing bullets, from the quote below in this article though.

then Henson threw a bullet into traffic that somehow ended up in the ends of Terry Glenn. Henson threw another dump-off to Hannam, then Mroz did the same to Crayton.

I hope this eventually translates into the O-line being able to handle anyone since they practice against one of the league's best defenses. That, IMO, was the case in the 90s. The offense and defense kept each other good because they practiced against the best.

They only practice against each other in training camp. I think it is irrelevant to the performance of the offensive line.

Really? I didn't know they stopped practicing when the season starts.

Have you heard of this thing called the scout team? The first team defense goes against the scout team O which runs the plays of the team they are about to play and the same goes for the first team offense.

I've been "touring" other team's training camps,,, we are not the only team struggling on offense, everybody is.

It is just early in camp, defense always comes along faster than offense,,,, I usually look to the third week for improvement and sometimes the OL doesn't jell til the regular season. Scary but that is the way it goes.
