As a Redskins fan, I can't tell you how much this means.
As a fan base we loved Sean more than any other player, I think because we had the chance to watch him grow and change right in front of our eyes. Our troublemaker was growing as a good person and a player and it was a joy to watch. He was only 24.
Seeing his life cut short like this is unbelievably hard. Whatever you think of him as a person, Sean adored his little girl and knowing she isn't going to get to know him is maybe the hardest thing of all.
So, beyond rivalries and football and teams, all I can say is that knowing there are good people out there, honoring him and seeing what a terrible, sad thing this is means a lot in the face of such a senseless act of violence.
I think, this Thursday I'll be rooting for the Cowboys for the first time in my life. You guys have been unbelievable and made it hard, at least temporarily, to wish you anything but the best.
