Default Limas Sweed

Limas Sweed, the Texas receiver on the South squad, slightly reinjured his wrist and will no longer practice or play. Sweed originally hurt his wrist in October and surgery was required to repair the damage.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

This won't prevent him from running the 40 at the combines which will ultimately determine where he goes in the draft.

Teams will look at more than 40 times. This injury could clearly drop Sweed in the draft

I've never got the appeal of this guy. He always looked like Billy McMullen to me.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Yup, same here. I just don't see anything special about Sweed.

Me either.

But a big-name Longhorn always draws a lot of attention on a Cowboys message board.

I agree. I am not a Sweed fan at all. I think some of our Horn fans should weigh in on the Sweed factor.

Horn fans? Where are you? Input???

I don't think Sweed will be a 1st rd pick but at 6'5" with good speed chances are he is a day 1 pick. The missed time due to injury will cost him but this is not just Texas fans who think Sweed may turn out to be a top WR many publications have him ranked fairly high.

And he won't post a fast 40 time. It will be average.

Even he was fast I would take him early. He just has never impressed me and I have seen a vast majority of his games. He always got compared to Roy Williams because he were the same number on his jersey, but he was not in Roy's class as a receiver in my opinion.

Hes garbage anyway. Hes slow, has awful route running skills and could get covered by linebackers in the NFL.

Its just because he's a longhorn. If he played for USC you wouldn't hear any Cowboys fans want him taken 22nd overall. But because he wears the fallopian tube shaped mammal head on his helmet he HAS to be a great player. WAKE UP PEOPLE, Texas hasn't been good since VY left. Well, the fact that Colt McCoy is the QB is a big part, that kid blows.

It is not Texas fans who are ranking him as a day 1 pick. This is not to say these draft publications are all knowing but for the most part they are not far off as to where a player may fall in the draft. As for Sweed I don't think the guy is garbage and I don't think he is a 1st rd selection but he is a good WR

Same here. He looked really good his freshman year, then went straight downhill.

Most posters have a love for tall WRs whether they produce or not, for some reason.
Ivy League

Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15
