Draft priorities
If Flo and Hamlin leave, and if the front office doesn't tag someone in the next couple of hours, I expect they will both be gone. what does that do to the draft prospects?
LT and FS become bigger concerns than WR and CB. We are right back to where we were two years ago when we had no FS and no RT.
Time to start looking at the draft ratings of them big ol' OT's.

It will be Free or McQuistan if Flo leaves. They wouldn't trust a rookie.

And Pat Watkins at FS.
Nothing would change. It would still be WR/CB/RB as priorities 1a, 1b, and 1c.

I don't think there's any way LT and FS become priorities over CB (especially) and WR, regardless of whether we lose Flo and Ham or not.
We've got young guys on the roster, and I highly doubt we'd draft a LT in the 1st round (although I wouldn't mind Otah, as stated in my sig).
We've also got Watkin's and supposedly Courtney Brown, so we would just be going younger at all those positions. Which has to happen for everyone eventually.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Great, second day picks replacing Pro Bowl players. I gotta believe we end up third in our division again if that happens.

As much as every team in the league would like to replace every position they lose with 1st rounders and other pro bowlers, that's just not the case.

LT shoiuld be a first round pick. Can you name another position, besides QB, that is as important?
As far as FS, how many years did we spend looking to fill that hole?
Jerrah better get those two signed or we are back to 2005.

Dallas has 2 OT waiting in the wings. If they felt Flo was a high priority I think they would have stepped up to the plate as they have before. It could be that the coaching staff feels we have players ready to take over. That is not to say that Dallas will not draft a OT but I don’t think it changes draft strategy

I don't think they would let Flo leave unless they felt confident we had his replacement on the team allready. Left tackle is just to hard to find. Free looked really good against Dwight Freeney in the preseason and he gets the chance to see the gamut in Ware, Canty, Spears, and co in practice.
Hamlin is young and capable though. He still has his best years in front of him. I don't think we would draft a guy in the early rounds to play free safety. I think we get this guy resigned.
We need
A cornerback to replace Reeves
we need a homerun threat at runningback.

...what round exactly do you think Flo was drafted in?

In Dallas franchise history has only once used a 1st rd pick on any O-lineman

I hope McQ and/or Free can do the job, but it is a big risk. FS will be a big issue if we lose Killer and Hamlin. Watkins would be all we would have, short of moving Henry back there. If we move Henry, then Reeves, Ball, or Brown would have to play. Or we would have to get two rookies in the draft to fill out the nickel.

I'll bet even money that Hamlin is back next year but I think Flo is a gonner since he's going to want a huge payout on his final NFL contract.
Like other have said, Free looked really good in preseason and I think he'll be more than adequate to replace Flo.
People also forget that Tony is pretty mobile and can escape a little more pressure than the left side than most QBs can.

Not advocating taking an OT in the 1st, but in 2007...20 of 32 LT were first rounders...interesting stat I found.

How many of them as pro bowlers? Hell, Jason Peters went to the pro bowl and wasn't even drafted.
