Default Jerome Messam (RB) - 6'4, 250 lbs, 40: 4.55

I'm completely over looking at the first rounds at this point, I'm ready to just wait and see what happens, but I can't stop myself from looking at the later round/fa prospects.

That's where I found this guy. Apparently he was a highly touted prospect coming out of high school, got a bunch of D1 scholarship offers but just couldn't get the grades he needed, so he ended up in the middle of nowhere in Canada. Apparently out of HS he signed with Rutgers, but his grades kept him out.

His metrics are pretty darn good, reminds me a bit of Brandon Jacobs; huge with quicker than expected feet. Wouldn't mind having a bowling ball down there for those short yardage plays, even if he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed (neither is Jacobs).

He'll probably be available as a FA, but I wouldn't mind having this guy as our 3rd back at all, he could fill a bunch of rolls on special teams and provide us with a short yardage specialist.

We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Can he catch? Built like a H-back or TE. Pretty damn fast if that time is right. I don't typically like tall RB's, but Jacobs has proven to be useful for the Giants.

I can't recall a FB that tall, but we need depth there...

Sounds interesting, could play a bunch of roles as you said, but I wouldn't want ANYONE on short yardage other than Barber.

Your mock in your sig I dont' like AT ALL, I think I'd PUKE if our draft worked out like that.

I think his hands are still a question mark, he had 19 for 240 over his career, so about 12 yards per catch.

I think he'd be a project either way.

What? Are you suggesting that Rutgers is an "easy" school to get into? If so, you're wrong.

The average SAT score to be eligible is well into the 1200's...not exactly community college.

My fondest memory of Rutgers has to be the "grease trucks".
