Seriously? Leftwich or Suggs.

Considering how dominant he's been . . . and how our most glaring need on defense is a DT . . . I'd have to say Kevin Williams.
At the time . . . I was jockeying for Byron Leftwhich though . . .

I'd say the Verdict....
Id say the Verdict is still out. Newman has looked both good and bad. The current NEED on this team indicates Kevin Williams could have been used, but the CB situation would be worse. Hindsight is 20/20, so we could have traded down and got Williams and possibly another first rounder, say Willis McGahee.

In that order.

My opinion then was
Leftwich
Suggs
Newman
Now it would be
Kevin Williams
Suggs
Newman
Reason?
I doubt Parcells would have started Leftwich at the end of last season or the beginning of this season.
Suggs really wouldn't be as successful because we don't have the down lineman to support a 3-4 defense and Suggs isn't a true DE.
With Kevin Williams, we would be closer to a 3-4 and we could have picked up a corner in the second round. I haven't been too terribly impressed with Newman. Maybe he'll be better with more help up front.
