WOW! MY cabin is on Otter Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. It has a kitchen, bathroom and living room - that is IT (we have two pull out queen size couches in the living room) - I paid $200,000.00 for it.
What a difference location makes!
Good luck Leon!
.....and.....off to the cabin we go!
Have a great day/weekend fellas.

Mornin' Cbz! And good morning to the rest of the zone. Leon, I'll be envious if you end up moving to the DFW area. I lived in Rockwall for several years and still miss it.

Enjoy your weekend fellas....

Morning, Cbz. Morning everyone.
We went back to the house on the lake at Mountain Creek Lake and put down a deposit. We have 3 days to change our minds.
The downside of that property is a postage stamp size lot and apparently you can't eat the fish out of that lake. That worries me some. Anyway, we will think it over and decide by Monday.
We are now in Calif. with my other daughter. If we decide not to complete the deal on the Mountain Creek Lake house, we will be scheduling another visit to Texas to continue our search. I'm now about 95% certain I want to move to Texas.
Wish me luck fellas.

Good luck Leon - take your time - it's a HUGE decision. You will 100% know when the right situation comes up. There will be no question in your mind.
We looked for our house for 3.5 years - looked at a zillion houses. The very minute we walked into this one, we knew we were buying it.
It's come to you like cold PBR out of a tap from a van.
Good luck my friend.

Good morning, Cbz and good morning to everybody here. Today, we are celebrating 57 years of my existence on this planet. Looks like the weather is going to co-operate and we'll have a little cake with friends out by the fire pit. Leon, like Sarge said, you'll know when the right place is there. Don't worry about the fish. You're in Texas. Eat beef! Sarge, we don't have Pabst up here, but we don have some good stuff that will do just fine. I intend to have a few today. Take care and have a great day, guys.

The cabin is pretty much what you think it is........you just can't touch properties on waterfront in the Adirondacks. 25 years ago you could but not now. If that cabin was in the city, it would sell for ............well.......it wouldn't!
I don't clean my own fish, I hire someone to do it for me...

Happy birthday Phil --I'll drink to many more for you
Ok big defining question Sarge ---do you put your own worm on the hook.
I know what you mean about prices of property -My mother in law had 56 acres of the sorry , brushy land that is good for anything. But because of its location it and a puny little house is worth $400,000 --- Makes it hard on some folks

Still miss you Pops
