Default Interesting Thought.....

Here is an interesting thought I got from another board. In the 2005 Draft spend your 1st 2 Picks in Round 1 on a DT and a CB. The two names I've seen on 3 different Mock Drafts is Roderick Wright, DT Texas and
Carlos Rogers, CB than take the best possible WR in Round 2. Than trade
the Cowboys #1 and #3 picks in the 2006 Draft to San Diego for Drew Breese

What are you opinions on this?

Looks good minus the Drew Brees part.

I think I heard BP say that he would not use a 1st rounder on a CB due to the rule changes... he said that CB's couldn't be as effective as they used to. If that is his thinking, the DE is probably a higher priority.
"The ball ain't heavy."

-Herschel Walker, when asked if he got tired carrying the ball 30 times per game.

Cowboys don't have a 3rd round pick this year. Drew Henson, remember? All said and done, I think we have 2 #1s, a 2nd and picks #4-6. I'm not sure we have a 7th because of trade issues from the last draft. My opinion, Brees is going nowhere and why would we want to trade that much for someone who's only been good for one year.

He mentioned trading a 2006 1st and 3rd for Brees. Not a 2005.

Even so, I still don't think I would trade that much for a former 2nd round pick, who's only been good consistently for one year.
