There was some good stuff in here from Aikman about the Cowboy and Eagles game plus his thoughts on the 'Wildcat' offense...

Aikman on WFAN in NY

The pressure is about equal on both teams in my opinion. The Eagles are supposed to win because they are home, but the Cowboys need to avenge their 44-6 loss and show the world that they are legit.

Shut down Desean Jackson. Run the ball. Don't allow the Eagles defense to pin their ears back by getting yourself into 2nd and long or 3rd and long situations. Tackle well. Take advantage of all opportunities to create turnovers. Get McNabb down when you get a hand on him. Make sure you are the last team with the football.

And that's the keys to a win folks!

I love hearing Aikman say that the Wildcat is junk. It's an offensive gimmick for a team without a real QB.

That is why they use Vick when running the wilddog...err, wildcat.

That "junk" of a "gimmick" has been confounding DC's since it's been unleashed last year against the Patriots. Miami runs it well. Does it work everytime? Of course not, but if it weren't effective, nearly every team wouldn't be running it....I think only one team hasn't had it in ther offense as of yet this year....

I wonder if the first time the pass was used if somebody said that it was a gimmick for a team without a real RB.
