Good Halftime Show
Excessive as always in terms of $$$$$ spent, but no annoying no-talent singers and decent songs for a change. Paul did very well.
No boobs, but I don't think we'll be seeing those again anytime soon unless you're married, have a girlfriend or an internet connection.

As one who grew up on him...who also chose music as a career...a tip of the hat to "Sir" Paul McCartney...pretty impressive for an old fart.

Pregame is overlong, drawn out. What was with that whole lab thing with Eugene Levy (Dad from American Pie) at the top of the hour? That was painfully unfunny.

The guy will be 63 this year...
You can hear some of the "top" of his voice is gone...but he chose the songs wisely...didn't sing "around" them...and best of all, was smart enough to not play new stuff...
It was good to hear "Drive My Car" which isn't a typical Beatle song...
Well done indeed...especially when one considers how awful the Super Bowl shows have been...(exponentially worse, Lewis Black anyone?)

I hope some of you got to see Paul during his last US tour. It was absolutely outstanding. The guy has lost some range in his voice but gosh all those songs are still great and the band he had was so good. Same guys as tonight. I hope he goes back out on the road. I'll be there!

Actually, I caught him twice last tour...once right here at the Nassau Coliseum which is five minutes from my house...and yep, same band...that drummer is a MOOSE!!!
One thing that you can always count on with the "old timers" is that you are going to get a top flight, show with a butt kicking band...
I was a bit nervous about how his performance was going to come off tonight...he did wonderfully well...
Way to go Paulie...

Yes Paul's drummer should be a linebacker somewhere....big boy and a great drummer. All the guys have really nice voices too and they back up Paul very well.
I'm jealous with your 2 concerts! I only saw one and I immediately put it down as the best concert I've ever been to. Loved it. Worth every penny!

I don't care much for Alicia Keys especially during a classic Ray Charles number. She's never going to be able to do justice to something like that.
I like country but nope not tonight.....Charlie Daniels hurt my ears with that screeching fiddle and the Black Eyed Peas I've never heard and now I know why. I'm not much for rap or pop or whatever that is they were doing. Rap/pop?

I caught him years ago also...Wings in Madison Square Garden...
It was the first time I saw him...circa 1985. I love "heavy" stuff...and I figured he'd "rock" but not really heavy...which was mostly what he did....BUT...two things still stand out.."Back in the USSR" was as heavy a song as I've heard live...and believe it or not, "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band" was MONSTER...

Back in the USSR was my favorite live song too....that song is classic live or not.
I liked "Blackbird" too. Just Paul.

Well the Beach Boy parody is wonderful...
The acoustic McCartney is phenomenal as well...
That's the thing...he can sit down and sing "Black Bird"...and then sing "Oh Darling" back to back...
He's a great bass player...the guy plays sing-able bass lines...
He's good on the piano...is a decent drummer...plays the electric guitar well...the acoustic very well..
He wrote in any style...
The quintessential example of his range, The White Album..back to back songs, "Why Don't We Do It In The Road"...into "I Will"... name one other vocalist who could do that....
