Sirius also reported us close to signing Law, so take it with a grain of salt.

Thats good news if true. It means Fred Smoot is almost guaranteed to leave.

Besides, we obviously weren't interested in Rolle. If we were, we'd already have signed him by now. Or at least you would have heard that we were talking to him.

He's been injury prone since 2002 anyway.

Here's hoping Fred Smoot comes to Dallas.

Or Law.

Or Baxter.

Baxter, Lucas and Henry would be my top 3... I just think that Law and Smoot will be WAY too expensive... so will Woodson, with the added disadvantage of having to give up the 11th pick in the draft and Dat Nguyen...

Baxter, Lucas or Henry... any one of the 3 would represent a significant upgrade over what we ran out there last year...

I would like Lucas too.

And that trade would never happen, so dont worry about it too much.

The age thing is the big hang-up.

As good as Law is, hes about 6 years older than Smoot.

Baxter and Lucas are young too.

I would prefer the long term answer with a big upside over Law.

Agreed. That JJ clip is mesmerizing. Check out how far downfield Allen is. The guy he's blocking looks ready to curl up into the fetal position...

He or Law would have had discussions by now if we were interested in either.

Rolle is a good player but there are reasons to pass on him. He is older than Smoot, Lucas or Henry by 2 or 3 years and he has had injury problems the last couple of years. Plus he only goes about 175 lbs and we need bigger CB's to contend with the likes of TO.
