Default FA - CB not where we go tomorrow

Way to much $ for average players.

Defense up the middle

NT Ferguson
ILB BOTH Hartwell and Kendrell Bell.
DE - Hayward

That where I spend my money.

Law/Surtain - revisit later in FA. Draft if need be.

While I would like to pick up a decent CB in FA, I agree that the front 7 is more important, and we'd probably end up paying too much(thank you foreskins) for a decent CB. I'd be more than pleased with your scenario Nors, assuming we picked up a good FS as well.

Default I totally agree

Nors...There is no sense in tying up alot of money on an average CB lets get good everywhere else then sign someone like Edwards..Let him come in compete with Hunter and Frasier...If we have a good pass rush our cbs will benefit amensly...

Agreed Nors. I would not be committing a vast sum anywhere but up front either.

But just because you or I would not does not mean the braintrust out at VR will.

I agree that i doubt CB is our first splash...and if Dallas does sign a corner its going to be in the 12-14 million bonus range. I'd be happy with Ferguson tomorrow, and one of the two LB's (hopefully Bell) to be brought in by the weekend. I would call that a successful first week in FA.

If we can sign those 4 players which I love, especially Bell and Hartwell. I like Law but kind of worried he will want a 20mil SB, but what the hell it's not my money sign Law and Baxter

Then we could trade our #11 and 2nd this year and a 3rd next year to move up and draft MW.

Default I just was fed up today

Baxter turning down $12M wants $16M
Rolle talk has $15M
Lucas and Henry both have stated they expect more than $10M

Lets bolster front 7 with size and proven players at reasonable price.

Free Safety? I wonder if we get that in draft? Tebucky Jones a Cap hit? He's a big boy back there that can cover ground. Saints overpaid for him.

Everyone of these corners should be charged for robbery if they get away with that kind of cash.

You're scaring me Nors.

First you say the Postons will ask for too much for Law...something that I have been telling you for a year.

Now you say forget CB and focus up front...also something I've been telling you for a year.

He was also putting down the Patriots organization and praising Parcells. Maybe he didn't take his medication today....

So easily lasooed. Go see Poston/Law thread.

Let all the DUMB teams give average CB's $15M SB.

Don't discount Law to Dallas at all my friend. That has not yet played out.

I'm not a Pats fan, never was.

Patriots | Inside LB an Offseason Priority - from www.KFFL.com
Tue, 1 Mar 2005 10:11:27 -0800

Michael Felger, of the Boston Herald, reports the New England Patriots are expected to target inside linebacker as one of their offseason priorities after the release of veteran LB Roman Phifer and the uncertain future of LB Tedy Bruschi (stroke).
Why do I see Hartwell going to the Pats?
