Default Remember guys...

...you don't build through FA. Yes, we need to bring some guys in, but we need quality over quantity. I'm all about bringing in a start, but we need to be carefull and spend money wisely - and certainly watch the age of the guys we do sign. We don't need to overpay for a bunch of "name" FA.

If the report about the CB from Cleveland is true, good signing and the kind we need to continue with.

i agree but you dont start your building in FA. Team has to be made by getting guys not by sitting there holdin money. I'mn not saying go overboard but we need to get some name players(I.E Berry) that can make an instant impact. I wanna win now and later but its hard to build for the future in a losing atmosphere we need players to win now as to build for the future.

I think there are few guys that are in their 4th and 5th years that can come in and make an impact now...and grow with the team.

Henry...4 yrs exp
Bell or Hartwell...both young studs

I think a few of these guys with a couple vets in their prime...like Fergi will go a long ways this year. We have a decent core...any many backups already. Adding a few guys as starters gives us immediate depth with some experience i.e. Hunter and Frazier...Bradie James...to name a few.

Actually, the teams that have done it best have gone for quantity over "quality".

The Redskins signed big names for years.

The Patriots signed many more free agents, albeit not big names, along with a few big names here and there.

Which team has done better?

There is no exact science to this.

It is not as simple to say do nothing as we did last year.

But signing too many high salary players at once is not the way to do it either.

The key is to have a philosophy. And an idea of what kind of player you want.

It's the quality signings not the quantity that is important. I'm hoping for 3 to 4 quality signings. Last year was a major disappointment. The first day went by then the 2nd a so on. We cannot let that happen this year. If we do we'll end up with Dat Dude again.

Last year was the result of not having a plan.

It appears we have one this time around.

That is a great post H-Town. In Free Agency I just want to plug some of the holes. The draft is where we will build this team into a consistent winner.
