Patrick Peterson wants to attend Draft
LSU top-ranked cornerback Patrick Peterson told National Football Post tonight that no one has told him not go and said he wants to go to New York and walk across the stage.

it's pretty selfish of the PA to tell these kids not to, if they did.

I don't think it's selfish at all, that's the reason they formed a union.
That being said, right now there is no union, so they shouldn't be calling anyone up and telling them what to do.
If there WAS still a union, then I'd say he should do what the union says and not attend.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

he will make himself a marked man unecessarliy....and there won't be one owner, GM, scout, coach etc...to protect him once on the field. Not a way to make friends.

Plus you know the reason he wants to go is because he's so in love with himself. He probably honestly believes he'll be the #1 overall pick and he wants that photo with the jersey.

What? A kid wants to actually participate in the biggest moment of their young life? What's wrong with today's youth?

But he's not a union member until he signs his contract.

Players hold out. Criticize their team, the club, the coaches during contract negotiations. Players blast teams when they're trade, etc.
It's business.
The players will get over it just as they get over it.
Same with Von Miller.

There's no union so it doesn't even matter.

It doesn't matter, anyway. The Union should have the sense to stay out of this part of the process. It's not their concern what happens to college players on draft day.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee
