As the NFL's investigation into Super Bowl ticket scalping in the organization continued Friday, two free agents visited Winter Park.
Receiver Plaxico Burress toured the building and was scheduled for a long meeting with coach Mike Tice. Burress, however, left the building on Friday night without a contract amid indications he was considering a visit to Philadelphia.
The Vikings are unlikely to match the $8 million signing bonus that Burress, a former Pittsburgh Steeler, turned down earlier this week from the New York Giants. Some believe Burress might sign a one-year, incentive-laden deal with either the Vikings or Eagles and re-enter the free-agent market next season.
Former Packers safety Darren Sharper arrived shortly after Burress departed. Sharper was scheduled for a dinner meeting with coaches followed by film study Friday night, and it is possible the Vikings could enter into negotiations with him today.
