not much, i'm pretty sure that was made of mostly legos, of course a few servos and wires and hooked to a laptop but yeah not too expensive if you compare it to other hobbies like rc cars or model rockets and such

The equipment probably wasn't too expensive. The man hours required to program it and integrate it probably wasn't trivial.
