College football - Steroids?
Is it tested at all?
Just saw Dan Cody on NFL NEtwork, dude is roided out. In depression anger mgmt issues.....
Do they get tested at all? If not, how can't this be rampant?
NFL policy up to a year and a half ago caught absolutely none of the THG and State of the art Synthetic roids. See Allen, Boston as players beating the system (then) and related break down injuries. Parcells even said recently its still problematic in football....

Remember Brian Bosworth being barred from the Orange Bowl? Actually if I remember correctly the NCAA declared war on steroids in the mid 80s, long before they were illegal.

Yes, it is tested and yes people fail the tests.
BUT it is only tested at the start of the season.
Most can go to El Paso cross over to Mexico got he pharmacy, get the animal meds for about 10 bucks per box and then hea dback and start a cycle after the tests but before the first game.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

Made me laugh out loud.

Richie Incognito another?
Just looks to me like nothings changed. Kids look roided up.
Larry Allen, benching 700 pounds and all his breakdowns past few seasons no doubt in my mind he was on a Bonds like program. Remember he refused to work out with team!

I am not going to pretend to know what Larry Allen does, but IMO LA broke down because he got fat and lazy!
There is nothing what so ever to indicate LA took steriods except he is one strong son of a gun!

Fat and Lazy people do not bench 700 pounds.
Steroids create freakish strength, size and mass. That extra power usually breaks down the tendons, muscles etc that can't take the strains. Allen's injuries are poster child steroid breakdowns past few years.... The League policy up to 03/04 was a joke and could not detect the Balco type stuff these guys were doing.....

It's a guarantee that people do steroids in college. The need to be bigger, stronger, faster than the competition has always existed.
There were 250 kids in my high school (2A). That's not my class, the entire school. I know of at least six kids on our football team who took steroids.
That should show you that they're available to anyone at anytime.

Sorry Nors! Of course you are going to think what you want, all good.
Personally, I think you are reaching long to put accusations of Steroids on Larry Allen.
IMO that is wrong!

I never heard about Dan Cody having anger management issues. He said he lost 10 lbs aftre being sick. I just got off a sickness where I lost 5. Of course I was too sick to take my roids during that period. J/K
