Default Scouts down on Pollack?

A league source tells us that the scouting community has been buzzing about the behavior of Georgia defensive end/linebacker David Pollack at the Bulldogs' Pro Day workout on March 22.

Pollack, we're told, didn't actually work out, but he attended the session and strutted around, as one scout said, "like he was running for mayor."

Pollack also had a stopwatch around his neck, and was calling out the times of each of his former Bulldog teammates as they ran the 40-yard dash -- as if none of the other scouts had their own stop watches . . . and as if anyone cared what Pollack thought the numbers were.

Needless to say, Pollack's behavior and perceived arrogance didn't go over well with the scouts in attendance. Look for him to fall completely out of round one in next month's draft.

I guess he doesn't realize how a team sees your character can cost you millions.

He's got plenty of character where it counts - on the football field. I'd be happy if he fell down to #20 where we could scoop him up if we don't land a DE with the #11 pick.

I doubt if he falls down out of the first round based on his production and attitude on the football field.

As far as I know, he has never been in trouble.

FIRE IN THE HOLE! Wait until Rack see's this. Don't say I didn't warn you.
I had an apartment and I had a neighbor, and whenever he would knock on my wall I knew he wanted me to turn my music down and that made me angry 'cause I like loud music... so when he knocked on the wall, I'd mess with his head. I'd say, "Go around! I cannot open the wall! I dunno if you have a doorknob on your side but over here there's nothin'. It's just flat."

Could you imagine if he came to the Cowboys with that attitude?

Doesn't mean anything. It means he's a smarta**. I wouldn't NOT draft a guy just cuz he's an arrogant smarta**.

is this story for real?

This is such a non story and non factor in regards to Pollacks draft status- he will go anywhere from 15-30. Where he goes will not be affected by this so called event or lack of.

This is a character issue?

Guys that beat their girls., or have several kids from different women., or get into fights, use drugs, commit crimes...those guys have character issues.

This guy had the audacity to call out times for his teamates...and not workout himself (It doesnt say why...is he sore...sick...anything going on that would effect his performance???).

yeah...he seriously has character issues.

I agree. People aren't gonna pass on him for being arrogant.

Merriman stated that "he's from another planet" cuz of his athletic ability. That's being arrogant as well. No one will pass on him for that.

By the way, Pollack did everything at the combine. Why should he work out again? There's guys that didn't work out at the combine, should they be scrutinized for it?

I think it's safe to say that David Pollack will not fall out of round 1.

Like I said in the draft forum about Gil being asleep at the wheel and not covering UGA's Pro day......I've seen 30+pictures of it and Pollack is there working like a beast/being his normal self. Stood by his numbers from combine but did all DE and LB drills.

Sheep, feel free to carry on.

I hope other teams are down on him.

I would love to grab him at #20.

The teams that pass on this guy mid first and on will live to regret it, IMO.

They were. Benson went from the best running back in the draft to being worthless.

I'm not a big fan of Pollack, but to say he drops to the 2nd rd is absurd. DE is a high demand position.
