Default Yucaipa’s Roy becomes star at Nevada

http://www.pe.com/sports/other-sport...-at-nevada.ece

“I continue that walk-on mentality with that chip on my shoulder, that no one thinks I’m worth anything,” says Brett Roy, left, a free safety at the University of Nevada.

So Roy went to Reno as a 210-pound walk-on free safety — and good things happened.

Now a 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive tackle, Roy leads the nation in tackles for losses, has the longest active streak of games with at least one sack and has become an NFL prospect.
