Default Intresting Compensatory Picks Fact

Cowboys | Fast Fact: Most Compensatory Picks - from www.KFFL.com
Fri, 25 Mar 2005 12:48:56 -0800

Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Dallas Cowboys have been awarded the most compensatory draft choices (25) since the start of free agency in 1993.

Just a little useless info I thought was intresting....I never would have thought we would have had the most....

I believe it since we were the most screwed team since the inception of free agency in terms of loss of talent.
I had an apartment and I had a neighbor, and whenever he would knock on my wall I knew he wanted me to turn my music down and that made me angry 'cause I like loud music... so when he knocked on the wall, I'd mess with his head. I'd say, "Go around! I cannot open the wall! I dunno if you have a doorknob on your side but over here there's nothin'. It's just flat."

And we proceeded to squander all those picks away on crappy players.

We have let some people go that have produced. I think Coakley will be one of these guys. Perhaps there is some strategy involved in this.

But we really haven't lost anyone that special. Mario Edwards could have been talented, but he got too much attention from the refs.

More evidence of the Anti-cowboy bias in the NFL?

for those who cant remember here are alot of the guys who left, and this probably isnt even a full list:

Ken Norton, Mark Stepnoski, James Washington, Alvin Harper, Larry Brown, Russell Marland, Darrin Smith, Dixon Edwards, Steve Buerlien, Kevin Williams, Jimmie Jones, Jim Jeffcoat, Ron Stone (via RFA), Kenny Gant, Kelvin Martin, Matt Vanderbeek, Brick Marion, Randall Godfrey, John Gesek and Kevin Gogan

like I said, probably a partial list

if you dont know how to draft successfully you can have all the picks in the world and youre still gonna suck.

24 extra picks have netted us nothing but mediocrity at best- sad state of affairs

Yeah, but where were those picks?

Sure, we may have the most. But are they 6th and th rounders, or were they higher ones? Ya know like the 3rd Denver got this year fro signing Ian Gold last year (even though they just re-signed him).

So we go the most pickes. Who got the best?

Yes. I'll bet THAT is where they screwed us.
