I like big WRs also. Having said that, if the guy can run a streak and catch over the shoulder, that's really all we need. I think our roster is full of guys who can run decent routes. Both Glenn and KJ are really good route runners. Both Copper and Crayton seem to be developing that skill as well.
Hey, you can't teach 4.3 speed.

True ABQ......but I still have visions of Galloway being blown off his route with a mere pat on the butt......or a strong north wind.

IU never had a quality QB and he produsced, sounds like Parcells quality kind of guy and speed to get deep!
How is he like Key? Besides the number?
Might be a great Prospect in the 4th!

Ok...I'm confused now.
Excerpt From Scouting Report Posted by Charles:
"Weaknesses: Lacks ideal change of direction skills, doesn't explode out of cuts and needs to improve route-running skills."
Excerpt From Scouting Report Posted by Qwickdraw:
"Roby is a smooth, quick player who runs nice routes and is dangerous after the catch. He has good quickness and shows it coming out of his breaks."

Besides the number.....
Has the body control to adjust to the ball while it's in the air and can make the tough over-the-shoulder catch. Plays with a mean streak and will fight though press coverage. Holds onto the ball after taking the big hit and isn't afraid to go over the middle.
I think most would agree that the above description is very similar if not identical to Keyshawn Johnson or Hines Ward.
Height, weight and speed is usually the last information on a player I take a look at.

They only thing they both agreed on was that Roby is undersized, which anyone can ascertain themselves just by simply looking at his height/weight statistics.

Lol.
If his 3 cone drill and short shuttle times are correct and they are that good... I'd say the second one is correct. I was wondering why they'd say he lacked explosion out of cuts and change of direction when his times were so good on those 2 drills.

I think a lot of that has to do with heart, or at least where Galloway is concerned. I don't think we're going to see Williams or Edwards drafted at 11 and the only WR I'd probably consider at 20 is Williamson and even then, not sure. I think the talent is going to be there, for what we're looking for, lower in the draft.

Galloway very seldom played with much intestinal fortitude and I should not allow that to blurr my opinion of a young WR.
The bio, speed, and abilities (although conflicting) make Roby very worthy of a closer looksee. He sounds as if he could be that deep threat which is despertly needed on this team. Roby would be a good selection in the 4th round.
Troy Wiliamson intrigues me also but there is a good chance he will not be there at #20.

Our interest in Roby and the other mid-round WRs is simply a smokescreen... So other teams don't trade in front of us to take Matt Jones.

I agree with everything you said. I too, think Roby is worth looking into. I mean, Colbert was a smaller WR and he had a heck of a year as a rookie. Same with Lee Evans.
Troy Williamson is really interesting but again, I agree, he could easily be gone. He reminds me of the kid out of Hawaii a few years ago but maybe bigger.
