NFL Who Are Your First Two Draft Picks?

Who are your choices for the Cowboys 2012 first and second round picks?

Here are mine:
First Round: DE/OLB Melvin Ingram, South Carolina
Second Round: CB/KR Janoris Jenkins, North Alabama

Here's why:

It's obvious that Ware needs help next to him in terms of rushing the passer. Anthony Spencer has never lived up to the hype and most likely will not be offered a contract extension after this year.

Melvin Ingram is an amazing athlete. Not only is he a top-flight pass rusher, but he can drop back into coverage and can catch the ball. When the ball is in his hands, he has the moves to make big things happen.

He would be the perfect compliment opposite of Ware in that he provides an immediate improvement to the pass rush and pass coverage.

It is also obvious that the Cowboys need secondary help with oft injured players and an aging veteran in Newman, and also we will need to focus on a true kick returner.

Janoris Jenkins is the all-in-one best man for the job. I know some will balk about his character issues that got him removed from the Florida Gators program, but he will also bring a much needed intensity and attitude to our defense.

Not only does he have first round coverage skills, but he also has elite return ability, something that we also desperately need.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

That would be nice 2 picks as of right now. 3rd round get a OG or C and in the 4th get a DL.

Add Carl Nicks, Arron Ross, and Calais Campbell in FA.

Phillip Blake, center Baylor. 6'4" 320. may be there around the 4th rd. He kept the middle around Robert Griffen pretty clean.

1 Ingram
2 Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt -
Hayward was a pure ballhawk to start the season, snatching four interceptions in four games. After that, he cooled off but had solid coverage all season. Against Arkansas, Hayward dropped three interceptions and totaled six passes broken up. For the season, he has five interceptions, 54 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss and nine passes broken up. Hayward has enough size and ball skills to fit any NFL defense. He also is aggressive defending the run. Hayward could be an underrated prospect who will reward the team that drafts him

3 Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin
4 Derek Wolfe, DE/DT, Cincinnati

only because J Jenkins will not be their in the 2 rd

Not that I wouldn't want to see it, but good luck with that.
There's always more to the story.

why do you say that, maybe not Aaron Ross but Dallas will have 20 million in cap space, you can easily get Campbell and Nicks and maybe even Ross.

Trying to make it as realistic as possible considering where we'll likely be drafting:

Dre Kirkpatrick/CB - 1st
Mike Adams/OT - 2nd
Dontari Poe/DT-NT - 3rd

*I'd love DeCastro in the 1st round but I think he goes somewhere between 10-15.

Mike Adams? if your drafting a OL in the 2nd it wouldn't be a OT. I don't like him as a OG if thats what you are thinking.

Why couldn't you draft Mike Adams in the 2nd? If your answer is all the "elite" prospects are in the 1st round, you're missing the point. Adams has great physical tools and has streaks where he's flat-out dominate. Free is going to be one of our OTs for at least two more seasons IMO. You bring in a prospect with the required ability for the position and hone his talent while he sits.

This team can afford to have developmental OT prospect. It doesn't have that luxury at OG.
