Just wondering What is Everyone doing draft day
What are you doing on draft day? Does anyone else have a routine? Do you watch the entire thing like me- I know Im a huge loser?
As for me- I have a baby due in two weeks so my plans may be altered based on sleep deprivation etc. My usual routine is to have the computer on with this site, and other draft sites up while I watch the draft from beginning to end. I eat stuff like nachos, pizza etc-pretty much like a one man super bowl party- I have had friends over before but I kinda like being by myself on draft day.
Last year when we traded our first round pick I almost cried- I was sure teh rb we needed was within our grasps and then the trade took the wind out of my sails.
Any interesting draft day stories out there?

It rained last year and my satellite signal went out before Dallas made their pick in the second.
The issue has been resolved for this year.
I usually like to sit on my couch all day (to keep it from getting away) and consume a few adult beverages. I typically watch the entire draft as well. For something that should be boring, I find it utterly fascinating.

A couple of years ago my wife to be had a bridal shower at my house during the draft. Therefor I was kicked out of my own house for that day. I threatened her that if she touched my TiVo and stopped the recording of the draft I would not marry her. I ended up hiding all the remote controls that way someone couldn't change the channel on accident.
I live for the NFL draft. Kind of reminds me of when I was a kid on Christmas morning. The night before you are so excited about what presents your might get the next morning that you can't fall asleep. I'm the same way now, the night before the NFL Draft. I can hardly wait to see what new player were going to pick up.

By myself, watching every pick, one eye on the tv the other on this site, my favorite adult beverage in the frig, premade sandwiches along side, the wife and dog.....who cares it's the Cowboys and it's draft day.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Every year I get together with a fan of the Eagles, Redskins and Giants. We usually go to the Skin's fan's house and we have a huge tailgate like party. Ribs, Burgers, beer (for them, I don't drink anymore) soda the whole smack. Eveyone akes a specialty to bring as well. No women at all just us guys from the first pick till the end of the day. Then on Sunday we usually watch the draft on our own, but we do watch the whole thing. It's the next best thing to a Cowboys Super Bowl.

I won't miss a pick, in fact I'll be watching it in ESPN HD this year (not that the HD really matters) while sitting in the CowboysZone chat room.
Incidentally, my son was born on the week before the draft four years ago. Not to worry, they sleep all day when they're first born and are awake all night. You'll be distraction free during the draft!

Yeah, draft day is pretty interesting, I usually work near the house and pop in every couple of hours to get caught up with which teams got who. I don't much care about the second day and get caught up on it after the work is done.

Planning on being there this year, hopefully. How often do I get a chance to see Dallas pick twice in the 1st round, let alone take a future Pro-Bowl WR in MW?!
