Seriously people, look at Parcells draft record here..........I mean seriously
2003:
1 Terence Newman
2 Al Johnson
3 Jason Witten
4 Bradie James
6 B. J. Tucker
6 Zuriel Smith
7 Justin Bates
2004:
2 Julius Jones
2 Jacob Rogers
3 Stephen Peterman
4 Bruce Thornton
5 Sean Ryan
7 Nathan Jones
7 Patrick Crayton
7 Jacques Reeves
2005:
1 DeMarcus Ware
1 Marcus Spears
2 Kevin Burnett
4 Marion Barber III
4 Chris Canty
6 Justin Beriault [View Full Quote]6 Rob Petitti
7 Jay Ratliff
2006:
1 Bobby Carpenter
2 Anthony Fasano
3 Jason Hatcher
4 Skyler Green
5 Pat Watkins
6 Montavious Stanley
7 Pat McQuistan
7 E. J. Whitley
I mean really, he gets too much credit. He totally tanked the 2006 and 2004 drafts. If it was not for his 2005 draft where truth be told he had to be talked into DeMarcus Ware and vocally wanted to take Spears with the same pick he took Ware with and hit on Witten in Newman his first year it would go down as the worst 4 year stretch in history.

So it's the old if it was a bad pick it was the coach syndrome. Got it.
We tell the team we have to move on from success" JG Oh how they have done that.
I know that when we do not have the kind of success, when we don't have expectations lived up to, the one that should get the most heat is the one that ultimately makes the decisions, period, with the Dallas Cowboys. And that's me."

Those were also Warner's "lean" years. Where he seemed to be going through a funk, and was fumbling the Qb/center exchange. Not good.

Well I figure it's the only time it can be because if you ask anyone who has an opinion it was the only 4 years Jerry had no control..............cough, cough

When you want to win a game, you have to teach. When you lose a game, you have to learn.

Me too man, I've tried the last few years to suppress what I thought I saw in this team (rather what I felt was lacking) because I deferred to the people who post here who have more football knowledge and expertise than I do, yet every year I end up seeing what I thought in my gut would happen.
My hope is a flickering flame fighting to stay alive and I'm really having a hard time seeing how the people that run the organization can ever right the ship again. I think they care & want to succeed but they simply don't know how. They're a visible representation of The Peter Principle and have rose to their level of incompetence, but there is no one around that can or will replace them.

I apologize for the circles, I don't pay attention to stats or years or whatever. For me it is really black and white and Warner was available for Dallas to pick up. It may not have been while Tuna was here but shortly after if not. Regardless if he was fumbling snaps it may have been coaching or something else, maybe a center change? Whatever the reason Warner is/was a winner and would have been the perfect qb for a young Dallas team with a bigger than life receiver with a HUGE EGO. One thing I do remember was why doesn't Dallas take a look at that guy, the time frame may be slightly off but so has this team for almost 20 years. Oh yeah he did not win and lose a bowl WHILE the Tuna was here that was after he ran out on us.

Could be he was already 33 going on 34 years old when he became available and Tony Romo was just starting his journey.

To claim he leaves when the going gets tough is laughable. This is a guy who joins awful teams and rebuilds them. He's not some Phil Jackson of the NFL here.

I was never happy bringing in parcells. I may be in the minority but I wasn't happy with him or wade coming in. Jason I think can do very good things with this team but it may take time and none of us want that. We need to win now.

That is true, he also has a ring and a near ring at that age. What does Dallas have, just taking a look doesn't hurt, they looked at Henson and a ton of other never was qb's why couldnt they look at someone who at least won something.

Warner looked terrible for awhile. He seemed to have been injured, couldn't grip the ball, fumbled snaps, and looked out of sync. He ended on a high note, but clearly got the benefit of a doubt in those years.

I'm not sure no one wants it to take time. I just think some of us understand the opportunity for some of our key players is slipping away.

And he kept romo while Jerruh was doing his Q, Hutch and Henson dance.
Also Miles showed up.
with the exception of LEE and the guys from this year and last year who did Wade and company get?
Who did Jerruh get before BP
Players drafted while BP was here
Ware/Witten/Ratlif/James/Newman
so the core of this team has been BP year players
So your point is as usual wrong
Las Cruces NM
White Sands NM
