In Rob Ryan's defense, who can tell anyway? We have Ratliff lining up at safety, Ware rushes with his hand on the ground, like a DE in the 4-3. It's all so haphazard.

As long as we continue in Rob Ryan's defense, we'll need to collect athletic, rangy players, and a certain amount of gap filling lineman, but it doesn't need to be strictly either style.

Trading down to get more chances gathering steals to fit an unpredictable defense, I think, is the way to go.
