Ourlad's Latest Mock Draft
http://www.ourlads.com/2005MockDraft.html
Wow... what a terrible mock. I mean that's just terrible.
They have Alex Smith falling out of the first round.

I actually like D. Ware (maybe at 20 not 11) I would take spears if Merriman were gone then trade the pick if both are gone and at 20 I'd take Ware over Pollack. Reggie Brown maybe in the second but not at 20

I think both Reggie Brown and Demarcus Ware are going to be great values from this draft and have good NFL careers.
But that early in the draft?
No way.

That really is horrible. Truly.

I took Ourlad's guide for many years... this may be the worst mock they have ever done... it is Kiper-esque in it's logic...

Ourlad's doesn't try to predict what will happen in ther mocks. They project the draft according to what they would do with thosepicks.
I respect that Ourlad's actually watches hundreds of hours of tape on each player. They may not fall in line with consensus, but at least their opinions are based on their own evaluations and not word of mouth. They also don't make strong opinions about players they've never seen play. They provide a nice balance from the other draftguys.

I agree with the integrity of Ourlads; they do mostly independent stuff; their guide is as good as any and better than most. For example, they have a great chart on each team's roster and where each player came from and how. You can learn where any player for any team is at the moment and where that player came from and for what price. This is available free at their web site. What I really object to is the band wagon consensus crap that is out there; remember you have 32 teams providing disinformation. Alot of this is sucked into lazy mock drafts by sports writers and the like; Ourlads has nice stats on each player that they pull from sources that include more than the combine. I beleive Dallas will trade down twice and end up with one number one at about 22, and add to this a number one next year, and an extra two this year and an extra three or two extra fours. TUNA will turn this extra talent into gold.

They have Charlie Frye rated as the top QB in this draft. I don't see it but hey, I don't do this for a living.

Actually, a correction, I was looking at their messageboard and it looks like Ourlad's has changed management from previous years. The previous longtime guy behind Ourlands, Tom Hepler, has retired. Its now being run by internet draftnik veteran Brian DeLucia and a former veteran NFL scout.

Sportingnews has us taken Troy Willaims WR SC at 11 and Spears at 20
