When Dominique Hamilton stepped on the scale a few days before the East-West Shrine Game, the former Missouri defensive lineman heard a collective gasp in the room of NFL coaches and scouts. The good kind of gasp.
“It was kind of like a meat market,” Hamilton said. “There were about 150 scouts in the room, and everybody was like, ‘Whoooa.’ They couldn’t believe it.”
The scale read 320 pounds, about 15 more than Hamilton’s playing weight last season. The added bulk was a surprise considering Hamilton’s relatively lean 6-foot-5 frame.
