I think this year with Luck you can multiply the #1 picks value by 2.

is this any different from other years?

if not maybe it should be because with the new fixed(and lowered) salary slotting system teams might be more willing to trade up

It is not the waitress's fault!

I think the slotted salary increases the value of all the top 10 picks, each earlier pick getting a greater increase in value than the previous.

The crazy salaries basically ruined the value of the 1st few picks. Too much to invest. Now that there is a reasonable investment, having that pick is worth a ton more.

I think I would honestly trade our #14 for the Patriots #28 and #31 if they wanted Trent Richardson or Melvin Ingram/Courtney Upshaw.

Then watch the Patriots flip that same #14 pick into 3 first round picks..............they make me ill.

Take this outdated chart and throw it away no one uses it. Just compare to all the trades last year, and none of them wear equal value

The chart has changed over the years and you are absolutely right that it will be changed again.

Lower r1 picks will have much more value than previously. In fact u probably wont see much r1 trading IMHO. I expect the Redskins could move up for a QB or something but I doubt you see much. Teams used to move down a few slots to save on cap costs thus tried really hard to slot their guy perfectly and won't need to do that now.

I expect now teams will be willing to move up more often they are to trade down which only increases draft pick value. But sticker shock could mean fewer trades this year.

I would rather trade with Cleveland. Get their #22 pick and another pick for the 14.

Isn't that the truth.

I don't know what it is... hypnosis... sedatives... I just don't know how these other clubs just seem more than willing to give the Patriots the farm when it comes to draft pick trades.
