It's a weak attempt at humor that was funny the first few hundred times it was done. Now, it's just sad ... and a violation of the Forum Guidelines.
21) All threads posted in the main forum need to have titles/subjects related to the content of the thread. You can use eye-catching words in the titles such as "Breaking News" but also include a few words telling what the thread is about. Tricking users into reading a thread by being purposely vague or using misleading titles can result in titles being changed on your thread, the thread being deleted or you losing your ability to post in the forum.

What the hell is misleading about this title? It's clear as a bell. I don't see where the post has been edited either. What am I missing?

I think Reality cleared it up a bit.

I didn't see it... but from past experience, I bet it initially said something like:

"Dexter Jackson FS signs!"

That may have been an accident.. I didn't assume he meant he signed with the Cowboys.

No big deal to me Nors. I'm not that sensitive.

Still, since this is a Cowboys message board, the only signing that should warrant an exclamation point (in most peoples minds) is one done by the Cowboys.

So if you put: "Player X signs!", well at first blush folks are going to think they signed here.

If you put: "Player X signs...", then most will assume it's somewhere else.

It's subtle things that can influence the initial reaction to reading a thread title.
