Didn't someone in here have a thing for Dylan Pohlman
Seems like I remember someone here had in their sig line something like "Dylan Pohlman, The kicker for the Cowboys."
Anyway, I saw him last night and he is kicking for the Oklahoma Yard Dogz of the AFL2. They played the Wilkes-Barre Pioneers last night and i went to the game. LEt me tell you. I would prefer Cundiff.
Anyway, thought I would post it because I remember someone in here having some kind of crush on the guy.

And just what did he do wrong? Did he not kick a 54 yard FG or so?

2-2 on FG's with a long of 53 and 5-6 on PAT's. The missed one was due to the line getting ushed back and the ball got tipped.
Sorry, but Cundiff isn't even allowed to kick over 50 yards very often....not to mention that Cundiff gets to kick through uprights that are twice the size of Arena football.

He mised an extra point and the one FG he missed he flat out missed. I was there and saw it. He ain't that good. Plus, he was missing them in pre game as well. Caught the pipes like three times.

I wonder what Cundiff would do with those narrow uprights? I don't mean to be taking sides here, I've never seen Dylan kick, but I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

He DIDN'T miss a FG. And I told you about the PAT.
Not to mention that I talked to him about an hour ago all about the game.
You can go to www.af2.com and check it for yourself. You may be think about the Wilkes-Barre kicker....he's the only one that missed a FG.

My bad. Also, he did kick one into the stands on a kick off. It was really odd though during pre game. It was almost like he was trying to miss for some reason. Anyway, no real knock on the kid. He was ok but I don't think he has what it takes to make it in the NFL. Of Course we have Cundiff so what does that tell you?

What does having Cundiff tell me? I'll tell you exactly what it tells me....it tells me that Cundiff doesn't make nearly what the league minimum is. There happens to be a couple of guys that Cundiff had to sign over a certain percentage of his salary to to be on the team. There is more to the story, but it's been this way ever since Hoffman has been here. Seder paid them, etc. I will tell you that Hoffman and DeHaven both have been talking to Dylan for well over a year though.
As far as pre-game....that's exactly what it is...pre-game.
I'll also tell you that prior to their practices ending, he has to make a FG from the opposite goal line (he has to go 1 of 2 at least), otherwise the team has to run wind sprints. They haven't had to run them yet.
The bottom line is that he has to kick it between uprights that are half the size of the NFL and many times, the ceiling is kinda low....I can't tell you how many times I've seen kickoffs and attempted FG's hit the ceilings at various venues.
He gets it done when it counts.
The Philadelphia Soul called him and wanted him to play for them, but this year, the AF2 was allowed to put it into contracts where if they sign with a team, they aren't allowed to even try-out for another team, whether it is AF2, AF1, or otherwise. Personally, that's a bunch of bull-crap, but teams in AF2 need to keep continuity somehow. It also prevents a player from making more money in a different league.

? What are you saying? Are you saying JJ violated the collective bargaining agreement? Are you saying Hoffman was taking bribes?
Also, did Dylan go to camp with any NFL teams last season?

I can tell you for sure that that did not happen last night. Of Course that wasn't practice. Anyway, I hope he does well. But he just seemed a bit jittery. I mean, he barley made the short FG squeezing it in. But whatever, it's not worth getting all bent over. It is AF2.

Never would have thought we would have a heated debate over a Kicker....
Arena league is hard as heck to kick, then again theirs no air to make u miss, therefore u should be able to nail most FGs.
Can Dylon kick outside?
Anybody that can kick should try out for the Cowboyz...

You also have less guys rushing you as well. It's not a knock on him at all. Just mentioned that I saw him and didn't think he was any more impressive than Cundiff. That said, he couldn't be much worse.
